One of Musika’s recent projects was a live recording in New York City.

The evening featured the fine artistry and musicianship of Sachiko Kato (piano), Kiyoko Nakata (Violin) and Raman Ramakrishnan (Cello), who provided a wonderful evening of exciting and interesting modern works of the last 50 years by renown Japanese contemporary composers.

Here are some excerpts from the concert:

‘Little Crystal Romance’ & ‘Waltz’  for Solo piano - Takashi Yoshimatsu ( 1953 - )
‘Between Tides’  for piano trio - Toru Takemitsu ( 1930 - 1996 )
‘Scherzo molto vivace’  for piano trio - Akio Yashiro ( 1929 - 1976 )
‘Cloud Atlas’  for Solo piano - Toshi Ichiyanagi ( 1933 - )
